What destroys a relationship?
No one becomes bad suddenly. No one becomes wise and good by accident too. In fact, it’s all perfectly good people who cause you maximum pain.
At the root of it all is a misunderstanding. Stories that the human mind spins out of random events and its own personal history on the planet.
Thus, best friends can be seen as monsters. An adoring wife suddenly turns a silly woman, and a loving husband is spun into a selfish egotist.
However, misunderstandings do not destroy a relationship. In fact, misunderstandings are the norm when two minds, even random ones, come into contact with each other.
So what destroys a relationship?
Lack of trust and commitment.
It is normal to be misunderstood. But when you provide clarifications truthfully and honestly, and you still remain the villain, then your relationship or friendship was never real in the first place. It existed only in your head.
Peacefully letting go of these illusions is far better than painfully hanging on to them.
