To build your child’s self respect…To build your child’s self respect… https://www.mindfresh.in/wp-content/themes/corpus/images/empty/thumbnail.jpg 150 150 Kirtanya Kirtanya https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/3c89ef1bc632e1d15e14e03198a549d3?s=96&d=mm&r=g
Self respect is not just created by what you say or don’t say to your child.
It is created by the things you let them do by themselves.
It is created when you don’t answer the questions put to them.
It is created when you don’t add on to their answers.
It is created when you don’t step in and do their homework.
It is created when you trust them to make decisions.
It is created when you let them face feedback from the real world for their behaviours.
It is created when you give them opportunities to shine outside of academics.
It is created when you let them be a volunteer in causes other than academics.
In short, don’t treat them like immature children and then expect them to behave like confident young adults.
